The 2008 contract from the Fire Protection Bureau is currently being wrapped up . The council based all funding requests on regionally established needs and goals. These needs and goals were translated into the objectives outlined in our contract administered by the Washington State Patrol for the Washington State Fire Protection Policy Board . The council will also be funding instructor development programs, recruit fire fighter training, and the purchasing of additional training materials, bringing the total budget to $10,000.00. With the increase in state and federal mandates, and the need for standardized training, the Region 7 Training Council asks for better representation from every fire department in the three county area. To achieve our goal of serving this vast region, we need YOU and your department to become involved. To be part of the region feel free to contact me or any other member of the council. Thank you for your time and support.
